Faucet & Toilet Repair in Los Angeles, CA
Southern California water is hard, and Los Angeles homes show it. Minerals build up on faucet aerators and showerheads until they spray sideways, scale wears out cartridges and toilet flappers sooner than they should, and the white crust around fixtures in older bathrooms is hard to clean. Older homes add other problems: shutoff valves under sinks that haven't been turned in decades and won't close, old chrome supply lines that are corroded, and toilets from before the high-efficiency era that use far more water per flush than new ones. In a region that has gone through repeated droughts, a running toilet or dripping faucet wastes water you're paying for.
We handle faucet and toilet repairs and replacements on existing plumbing. That includes swapping cartridges and washers, replacing fill valves and flappers, putting in new supply lines and shutoff valves, and installing new faucets and toilets where the old ones were. We shut off the water, protect the cabinet and floor, and test everything for leaks before we leave. We also replace garbage disposals, swap old angle stops and braided supply lines throughout the house, and redo the drain connections under the sink, with our licensed plumbers on every connection.
What this covers

- Running toilet fill valve and flapper replacement
- Toilet replacement on an existing flange

How a faucet & toilet repair visit usually goes
Shut Off and Inspect
We close the fixture's shutoff valves, or the main if they're seized, check for corrosion or damage, and confirm what parts we need before taking anything apart.
Replace Worn Parts
We swap cartridges, washers, fill valves, flappers or supply lines with matching parts, and replace stiff old angle stops when they won't close fully.
Install or Reset Fixtures
For new faucets and toilets, we set the fixture on the existing connections with fresh seals, level it, and tighten everything to spec.
Test for Leaks
We turn the water back on, check every joint for drips, run the fixture through several cycles, and clean up the work area.
Older rental buildings across Koreatown, Hollywood and the Mid-Wilshire area have a lot of fixtures that are decades old, and repair requests there are steady. Landlords often call us for running toilets, dripping kitchen faucets and corroded supply lines in several units at once. We can coordinate access with tenants and keep the parts consistent between units. In single-family homes, we often see older toilets that use far more water per flush than current models. New toilets sold in California today are high-efficiency models, so replacing an old one is a simple way to use less water and stop chronic running.
What shapes the price in Los Angeles
Faucet and toilet repairs vary mostly with what we find under the sink or behind the toilet. Simple part swaps go fast. Old shutoff valves that won't close, corroded supply lines, or a flange that has rotted at the floor all add time and parts. Older or unusual faucets can need cartridges we have to track down. Replacing a whole faucet or toilet takes longer than a repair, and a toilet on an uneven or damaged floor needs extra shimming and sealing. Swapping corroded angle stops and supply lines while we're there adds a little time but saves a second call later. Fixing every drip and running toilet in the house in one visit is the most efficient way to handle it.
Neighbors often ask
My toilet keeps running. Is that a big repair?
Usually not. Most running toilets need a new flapper, a new fill valve, or both, and hard water makes both wear out faster here. We replace the worn parts, set the water level correctly and check the tank for cracks. If the toilet is very old, we'll also talk with you about whether replacing it with a new high-efficiency model makes more sense.
Why do my faucets keep spitting or losing pressure?
In LA, it's usually mineral buildup in the aerator or cartridge. We remove and clean or replace the aerator, check the cartridge, and clear any scale that's restricting flow. If low pressure is affecting the whole house rather than one fixture, we check the pressure regulator at the main line and look for old galvanized pipe, then tell you exactly what it will take to fix it.
Can you replace my old toilet with a new low-flow one?
Yes, if it goes on the existing flange and supply line. We take out the old toilet, check the flange and floor, set the new one on a fresh wax ring or seal, connect the supply, and test it. If the flange is broken or the floor around it is soft from a past leak, we'll show you what we found and what it takes to fix it before we set the new toilet.
There's water under my sink, but the faucet doesn't drip. What's leaking?
Common causes are a loose supply line, a worn angle stop, a slow drip from the faucet base, or a drain connection that has worked loose. We dry everything off and run the water to find exactly where the leak starts. Most of these are quick repairs. If the leak is from the drain connection at the wall, or the cabinet floor has been wet for a long time, we show you what we found, redo the connection, and replace the swollen cabinet floor so it's solid again.
