Towns & Neighborhoods We Cover

We're based near downtown Los Angeles and work roughly 20 miles out, which is about as far as LA traffic lets us go and still show up on time. That covers most of the city from the Eastside to the Westside and over the hill into the Valley, plus Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Santa Monica and Culver City.

Handyman Service Across Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles covers nearly 470 square miles and almost four million people, and its housing changes block by block. You'll find 1880s Victorians in Angelino Heights, Craftsman bungalows in Highland Park and West Adams, 1920s Spanish Revival homes and Period Revival duplexes around Los Feliz, Hancock Park and Mid-City, hillside houses on stilts and stairs in Silver Lake and Mount Washington, postwar ranches across the Valley, and dingbat apartments and downtown lofts nearly everywhere in between. In a single day we might patch lath-and-plaster in a 1912 bungalow in the morning and hang shelves in a Westwood condo after lunch. Both houses deal with the same sun, wind and occasional shaking.

Life in LA runs on the freeways and the hills: the 101 through Hollywood and the Cahuenga Pass, the 10 out to the beach, the 5 along the river, Griffith Park and the Hollywood sign above Los Feliz, Elysian Park around Dodger Stadium, and the long boulevards like Sunset, Wilshire, Pico and Ventura that tie the neighborhoods together. Most of the year the weather is dry and mild. In spring you get May Gray and June Gloom near the coast, by late summer the Valley is often over a hundred degrees, and the Santa Anas come through in fall and winter. Then a few winter storms bring most of the year's rain in a handful of days.

What Los Angeles neighbors book most

Jobs we handle a lot in Los Angeles

In a typical LA week, we patch plaster and drywall that cracked when the house shifted, rehang doors that started sticking when the rains came, strap bookcases and TVs to studs, replace worn faucet cartridges and clean hard-water scale off fixtures, swap dated light fixtures and fans, fix gates and wood fences that sprinklers and termites have weakened, and clear gutters before the first storm. We also do a lot of rental turnovers and condo punch lists, where building rules and loading-dock schedules matter as much as the repairs themselves.

Questions we hear around Los Angeles

Do you cover the whole city of Los Angeles?

We cover most of it within about 20 miles of downtown. That includes the Eastside neighborhoods like Silver Lake, Echo Park, Highland Park and Eagle Rock, the central city from Koreatown and Mid-City to Hancock Park and West Adams, the Westside out to Venice and Westchester, and the southern Valley from North Hollywood and Studio City to Sherman Oaks and Encino. The far northwest Valley and the Harbor area are outside our regular range.

I'm a renter. Can you still help?

Yes, as long as your landlord is on board with anything that changes the unit. Mounting, furniture assembly, shelving and small repairs are common requests from renters. In older rent-stabilized buildings, owners often hire us directly for repairs tenants have reported. We're happy to coordinate with your property manager so everyone agrees on the work before we start.

Can you work in my condo or apartment building?

Yes. That's common work for us in Westwood, Koreatown, downtown and along Wilshire. Tell us your building's rules ahead of time, such as elevator reservations, loading-dock hours, certificate of insurance requirements or quiet hours, and we'll schedule around them. If the building needs to be named on a certificate of insurance, send us the details early and we'll get it to management before the visit.

The Los Angeles Way of Doing Business

Built for How LA Houses Live

Southern California is easy on people and quietly hard on houses. Stucco cracks when the ground shifts, the summer sun cooks paint and vinyl, Santa Ana winds rip at gates and screens, and the first big rain of the season finds every clogged gutter at once. We make repairs with that in mind: anchoring into studs so things stay put in a shake, using exterior-rated materials that hold up to UV, and sealing the gaps where the winter storms get in.

A Clear Price Up Front

Send a photo or describe the job and you'll get a plain number before any work starts. We don't pad hours or tack on surprise fees at the end. If something turns out easier than we expected, you pay less, and if we find something bigger behind a wall, we stop and talk before going further.

Your List, One Trip

Driving across LA costs everyone time, so we try to get the whole list done in one trip. Tell us everything: the loose cabinet hinge, the drip under the sink, the blinds, the wobbly gate, the shelves for the garage. We show up with a stocked truck and work through it in order, so you aren't waiting on four different people for four small jobs.

Fixtures and Plumbing Included

Ceiling fans, light fixtures, dimmers, smart switches, hardwired doorbells, thermostats, faucets, toilets and disposals are part of the same visit, not a separate booking. Our licensed electricians and plumbers handle the connections, so a fixture swap in a 1920s Los Feliz Spanish or a new vanity faucet in a Westside condo gets done right alongside the rest of your list.
